What is Glamping
Glamping is a completely unique experience that takes the best of a hotel stay and the best of camping, and together creates a unique experience.
Contrary to many other glamping places, we have made a virtue of creating the best setting for a completely unique experience that is also worth paying for.
We have two tents, both of which are 28 m2 in size and contain a large double bed, lounge, kitchenette, dining area and wood-burning stove for the cold nights. You can call it a small apartment.
The tents are also placed at a good distance from each other (100 meters), so that you can enjoy nature, the lake and not least each other undisturbed.
It doesn't get more magical than this!
Our glaming sites
Løvdalen
Løvdalen is located in our own small idyllic forest. Completely undisturbed and with plenty of privacy.
The tent is placed on a platform where we have built a magical little terrace at the back that opens out into nature. Here you can sit completely undisturbed and enjoy the peace and quiet as the forest animals walk by.
Løvdalen finder man godt 70 meter fra gården placeret i læ fra vind og vejr – uanset hvor den måtte komme fra. En overnatning i et af vores glamping telte inkluderer 2 personer.
Skovbrynet
Located at the edge of the forest – hence the name – completely undisturbed, private and sheltered from wind and weather. A true gem where you get really close to nature.
Fra teltet har man udsigt stik mod syd og over søen. Teltet er placeret på en platform, hvor der er en stor fin terrasse tilknyttet, så man kan tage stole og bord med ud, når solen kigger frem. og er placeret på den anden side af søen, modsat gården. Udsigten er stik vest, og danner rammen om den
The tent is located just 100 meters from the farm, and you get there by a small, cozy forest path that exudes coziness and nature from the first step. En overnatning i et af vores glamping telte inkluderer 2 personer.
Sauna & Wildernessbath
It's possible to book the sauna and/or the wilderness bath when glamping.
The sauna/wilderness bath is available for 1 hour and 30 minutes when booked.
If you decide to book both the wilderness bath and sauna, you are able to plan book timeframes accordingly.
Prisen for sauna og/eller vildmarksbad er 400 kr. pr. ting, og inkluderer 2 personer.
With so-called "private booking", you can reserve the facilities at the following times.
There is a first-come, first-served principle in relation to the times.
Wilderness bath:
15.00 – 16.30
17.00 – 18.30
19.00 – 20.30
21.00 – 22.30
23.00 – 00.30
Sauna:
16.30 – 18.00
18.30 – 20.00
20.30 – 22.00
To reserve a time, send us an email to info@schellerupgaard.dk with the desired time and the name of the booking - we will get back to you with a confirmation. Booking and time reservation must be made no later than 2 days before arrival.
Interior design

Facilities
Directly from the farm there is a large terrace with barbecue facilities, which you can use together with the other guests on the farm.
We also have a large sauna and wilderness bath, which you can use for a fee.
A couple of times during the week we also facilitate sauna events, where we mix aromatherapy, heat and meditation.
Bathroom and shower
For our glamping guests, we have two toilets (men and women) with a gas heated outdoor shower established.
The toilets are unique compost toilet from Mulltoa, and is so comfortable that it is easy to forget that the compost toilet is not an ordinary flushing toilet. It has been awarded the Swan label as it meets the standard for a biological toilet in terms of environmental requirements, functional requirements and quality.
The toilet is located in its own small shed, which can be locked. Behind the shed we have established an outdoor gas heated shower with the most magical view. varmvandsbruser med den mest magiske udsigt, hvis man skulle få lyst til et bad (dog vil dette være lukket ned i vinterhalvåret pga. frost).

If you leave the dishes, there is an additional cleaning fee of DKK 300. which will be post-invoiced.

Heat and firewood
Firewood for the stove can be bought and costs DKK 125. per day.
We have installed wood-burning stoves in our tents, which you can light up in the cold winter months. You can buy firewood for your stay. You are not allowed to bring your own firewood (this is to ensure that unnecessary things are not burnt, so that both the tent and the stove are damaged).
It is also not permitted to bring and use a fan heater or other heating devices.
It is possible to buy breakfast (not included)
Breakfast includes:
- Homemade buns
- Toppings (cheese and ham and more)
- Boiled egg
- Coffee and tea is available
Breakfast needs to be ordered 2 days before your stay. You can order it by phone or email.
Breakfast will be served in the apartment between 7 and 9 am.
Booking and Prices
The price for an overnight stay varies according to season and demand.
The price may also vary for special events and occasions in and around Herning.
If you are a family with children who want to go on an adventure, we can easily find a cozy solution for that too. We can easily move the interior around a bit and put more beds in, so there is room for everyone.
Summer season: April to September (both months inclusive)
Winter season: October to March (both months included)
The price for extra overnight guests is DKK 350 per person per night
